DESIRABLE WEIGHTS FOR MEN AND WOMEN
(indoor clothing)
The weight for your
height in the table is the 'desirable weight' that you should maintain
throughout your life. It is the weight at age 20-24 years associated
with maximum life expectancy. Generally speaking, if your weight varies
from the desirable weight given by up to 10 per cent (less or more),
you are still within the range considered most healthy. But, depending
on whether your frame is small or large, your weight may differ from
the desirable weight by as much as 20 per cent without being unhealthy.
Some experts believe that to weigh up to even 30 per cent more than
the desirable weight is all right, depending on frame and muscularity.
